  • “25 Years of German Unity” 25 euro collector coin

The coin celebrates the Reunification of Germany, marking its 25th anniversary in 2015. On October 3, 1990, the Basic Law, which called for German unity and freedom, finally came true. The coin was designed by the artist Bernd Wendhut from Bernkastel-Kues.

The people standing in the foreground of the image side embody optimism and new beginnings; they are in front of the Brandenburg Gate, the symbol of German unity. Their declaration “Wir sind ein Volk” (We are one people) represents the journey toward German reunification.
