The 20 euro collector coins are produced from an alloy of 925 thousandths silver and 75 thousandths copper in both the brilliant uncirculated and mint gloss qualities. The coins weigh 18 g and have a diameter of 32.5 mm. The coins in brilliant uncirculated quality will be sold at the nominal value (20 euro). The coins in mint gloss collector quality will be issued at a sales price above the nominal value.

The Frog Prince from the Grimm’s Fairy Tales series
The coin is the seventh to be issued as part of the “200 Years of Grimm’s Fairy Tales” series started in 2012.
The image side depicts three main elements of the fairy tale – the frog prince, the golden ball and the princess – to illustrate the basic constellation dynamically and from an unusual perspective. The dignified eagle on the value side, which is focused in the central area, achieves a consistent power of expression. 275 Years of the Gewandhaus Orchestra
The coin is in honor of the Gewandhaus Orchestra, which will celebrate its 275th anniversary in 2018 and still counts among the most famous orchestras in the world. As the oldest civic orchestra, it still holds a special position today.

800 Years of the Hanseatic City of Rostock
The coin is a reminder of the confirmation of the town charter for Rostock in 1218 and marks the development of a city that is now not only the largest city in Mecklenburg Western Pomerania, but is also the economic and cultural center of the most north-easterly Federal state.
