  On October 1, 2009, the “UNESCO World Heritage” 100 euro gold coin will be issued.
  
  The coin is made of pure gold (999.9 Au) and weighs 15.55 g (1/2 ounce). The coin edge is ribbed. The official issue price will be based on the price of gold at the end of September 2009 plus a surcharge of €25. The gold coin was available to order from the Official Sales Agency for Collector Coins until May 31, 2009.
