Description Coin

Description Coin

The coin is the start of a three-part series "Luft bewegt" (2019 – 2021, one issue per year) and thus follows on from the issue of the 5 euro coins "Planet Erde"  and "Klimazonen der Erde" in recent years were issued by the federal government over the last two years with great success.

The 10 euro coin "In der Luft" consists of two different copper-nickel alloys and a translucent plastic ring. It has a mass of 9.7 grams and is produced in two embossing qualities: uncirculated and mirror finish.

The design of the picture page comes from the artist Natalie Tekampe from Müncheberg. The value side, which is identical for all coins in the series, was designed by the artist Andre Witting from Berlin.

The image side shows a paraglider, which is placed in the center of the image in a mountainous landscape. The design of the value side matches the selected image side. It shows an eagle, the words "BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND", the value number and denomination, the year 2019, the twelve European stars and - depending on the mint - the mint mark "A" (Berlin), "D" (Munich), "F" (Stuttgart ), "G" (Karlsruhe) or "J" (Hamburg).

The smooth edge of the coin contains the inscription: "Luft bewegt" in recessed embossing.
