The orchestral horn is the third edition in the “Musical Instruments” gold coin series after the double bass (2018) and the fortepiano (2019). The winning design for both the image and the value side comes from the well-known coin designer Jordi Truxa from Neuenhagen near Berlin. The “Timpani” motif continues in 2021 and in 2022 The gold coin “Concert Guitar” concludes the series.
